After another hiatus, I'm starting a new bike. This is for a friend of mine, who shall henceforth be named DB. It's a road bike, and although nominally a winter bike, it should be used all round on long training rides.
Compact geometry lugs will give a slightly sloping top tube, coupled with a stretched out top tube. Standard oversized Columbus Zona tubes throughout.
This is one of the few bits of the process that doesn't happen down in the shed: tweaking the CAD design with all of the exact measurements off the lugs. I'm going to sit on the design for a bit and work out some minor niggles, but I expect to be carving up the lugs and mitering some tubes before too long.
